I grew up in Orcutt, CA, surrounded by horses from the age of two. My passion for these animals has only deepened over time. It began with a Shetland pony named S.E. Later, I owned a bay Arabian mare named Tahira Mar, who had a shoulder injury. Tahira taught me so many lessons and values, she deepened my love for horses with physical limitations that are often overlooked. One of my early challenges was a feisty Arabian/pony cross named Lucy. She taught me the value of grit and perseverance.

Horses have always been in my life, and I have taught horseback riding lessons since 2004. When I was younger, I competed in English riding disciplines including Hunter, Jumpers, Three-Day Eventing, and Dressage. Although I once thrived on competition, I've shifted away from that aspect of riding, and am devoted to helping horse thrive in whatever line of work they may have.

My professional career path has been winding, and first led me through the beauty industry as a hairstylist and later into the dental field. These detours eventually circled back to horses being my primary focus. Without following these rabbit trails, I would have missed some incredible opportunities. My deeper engagement with anatomy, physiology, and fascia expanded significantly in college. I was part of an anatomy dissection research team, which was a profound experience. After leaving the dental field, I pursued equine bodywork with renewed vigor, taking courses worldwide and learning from leading experts. Leveraging my knowledge in anatomy, physiology, fascia, and intuition, I developed the Dynamic Release Technique, a unique approach to equine therapy.
